About PlainCSV

PlainCSV is a free set of browser tools for the CSV files that office work runs on: exports from shops, CRMs, banks, ERPs and analytics tools that need to be opened, checked, cleaned, re-encoded or converted before they can be used. Each page does one job and works straight away: there is no account and nothing to install.
How it works
- Everything runs in your browser. A file you open is read by your own browser and processed on your device. It is not uploaded, and we never see it. You can disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded and the tools keep working.
- Standard behaviour, written down. Parsing follows RFC 4180, the common specification for CSV files, and each tool page explains exactly what the tool does with quotes, delimiters, line breaks and encodings.
- Tested. The parsing and conversion code is checked against hand-worked examples and the cases in the relevant specifications (RFC 4180 for CSV, RFC 6350 for vCard, the JSON Lines format, and others) before a tool goes online.
- Third-party code used on the site is listed on the credits page.
If a tool gives a wrong result, please tell us through the contact page — a small sample file that shows the problem helps most.

Why the address is 51guolv.com
The domain 51guolv.com belongs to SKYSEED TECH LLC. It used to host a Chinese-language directory of industrial filter suppliers, which has been closed; the domain now serves PlainCSV. The old directory pages are gone and are not coming back.
What is next
We are planning paid batch processing and an API for teams that clean the same exports every week. The free tools stay free. See Pro and API if you would like to hear when that opens.
Advertising
The site is free to use. We may show advertising in future to pay for hosting and development. If we do, ads will be labelled “Advertisement”, will never cover a tool, and are described in the privacy policy.
